‘Ruta de la Tapa’ competitions.
In April 2024, two gastronomic events will take place fairly close together at
the western side of the Costa del Sol; the “Ruta de la Tapa” in Estepona and the “Degusta Casares”
Festival.
What is Ruta de la Tapa?
This beloved annual itinerary includes several restaurants and bars scattered throughout the city, where you can enjoy
can enjoy a variety of tapas and try their wines at a discounted price. The goal
is that people try various menus at different eateries, thereby expanding their palette of taste
can expand while socializing and having a good time. They review the food at each of the

accomplishments to be recognized. The winner of the Best Tapa 2024 contest will receive a cash prize of
receive €1,000 and have an award presented by City Hall. In 2023, 30 different
occasions participate in the competition. The Ruta de la Tapa is just one part of a larger
event that takes place throughout Estepona, including various cultural and outdoor activities.

Gastronomic and Cultural Fair – Degusta Casares
If Estepona’s Tapas Route has whetted your appetite, you can head a few kilometers to the west
and a few days later on April 20 and 21 try even more food and enjoy the culture
during the “Degusta Casares” Gastronomic and Cultural Fair.
This will be the eighth event of its kind in Casares and includes a Tapas Route, artisanal
market, workshops, dancing, live music, game rooms and much more. The goal is to promote gastronomy and
present local culture through live cooking events and recorded videos that show how to create a
number of typical Andalusian dishes you can prepare.
