Nueva Andalucia
A highly sought-after residential area of Marbella renowned for its concentration of luxury real estate.
Nueva Andalucia is a leafy suburb of luxury penthouses, villas and apartments located immediate above Puerto Banús in the municipality of Marbella, southern Spain. The area enjoys a sub-tropical Mediterranean climate of hot summers and warm winters, tempered by cooling breezes from the sea.
Many people are enticed to the area when looking for perfect Marbella property for sale, tempted by the beautiful natural surroundings, beautiful beaches, world-class golf facilities and easy access to the glitz and glamour of Marbella town. Other attractions are the spectacular views of the Mediterranean and the majestic Sierra de Ronda mountain range, not to mention its proximity to the beautiful beaches of the Costa del Sol.
The area is extremely popular with families due to the excellent array of amenities, including an international school, shops, bars, restaurants, hairdressers, gyms, casinos, Saturday markets, and golf clubs are all within walking distance. With so many amazing facilities in close by, you could quite easily get by without ever having to leave the area, yet if you do fancy exploring San Pedro de Alcantara is a short 10-minute drive away to the east and Estepona a similar distance to the west, not to mention the numerous golf clubs in the area, there are plenty of reasons to venture further afield.
Golf Valley
The area is affectionately dubbed ‘Golf Valley’ due to the high concentration of top golf courses right on the doorstep. Stunning scenery, challenging courses and excellent facilities make it the perfect location of golf aficionados. Aloha Golf, Las Brisas, Los Naranjos all offer excellent views of the Sierra de Ronda, and Europe’s first 24-hour course - La Dama de Noche – where you can play well into the night thanks to its floodlit grounds, no wonder it is called ‘The Lady of the Night’!
Golf isn’t the only way to explore the great outdoors though, the Los Reales de Sierra Bermeja Natural Park is less than one hours’ drive and has breath-taking views spanning the Costa del Sol. There are lots of beaches to explore too, most of Nueva Andalucia’s beaches are within easy walking distance, many less than a 10-minute drive away including Puerto Banús. In the ‘port’ you will find the world- famous marina where you may spot a celebrity enjoying the sunshine on their luxury yacht.
On Saturdays, you can visit the Nueva Andalucia Artisan Market, one of the largest flea markets on the Costa del Sol. Here you’ll find a wide variety of goods, from hand-carved figurines, pottery, paintings, clothing, furniture, textiles, and antiques, not to mention spices and fresh local produce.

Transport
Although there are buses that run from the town, there is no direct train connection, so having a car is advisable.

Nueva Andalucia is served by the state run La Campana Clinic and there are a number of private clinics in the area.
